Alberta Bed & Breakfasts
• A WorldWeb.com Travel Guide to Bed & Breakfasts in Alberta, Canada.
Alberta's Bed & Breakfasts
One-of-a-kind rooms with intriguing decor, flavourful breakfasts and the feeling of cosiness attached with staying at home on the road are a few of the reasons why a bed and breakfast (B&B) is a popular accommodation option. Luckily for travellers, Alberta offers a plethora of bed and breakfasts that range from luxury estates to charming country cottages.
ALBERTA'S NORTH
The majority of bed and breakfasts in Alberta's north are located in the city of Grande Prairie. Here, visitors can choose from B&Bs that are situated close to downtown or only minutes outside of the city. Rooms range from basic suites painted in soothing shades to extravagant modern suites with fireplaces. Other northern Albertan communities where travellers can find comfortable B&Bs include Fort McMurray, Fort Vermilion and Valleyview.
ALBERTA'S HEARTLAND
While visiting Alberta's Heartland, travellers can rest their heads in a medley of bed and breakfasts throughout the prairies. Although many of the region's communities feature B&Bs, such as Stettler, Rocky Mountain House and Olds, the highest concentration of this type of accommodation is in Red Deer. Here, visitors can choose from an assortment of B&Bs set in modern bungalows and historical three-storey homes, such as the Galbraith Manor Bed and Breakfast based in a 1906 heritage home.
EDMONTON & AREA
Alberta's capital city, Edmonton, features an array of bed and breakfasts in central locations like the Grays' Haven Bed and Breakfast close to Whyte Avenue and the comfortable Wee Sleep Inn Bed and Breakfast near Canada's largest shopping centre West Edmonton Mall. Wherever one wants to be, whether it's close to the airport or the downtown core, Edmonton's B&Bs are dotted throughout all the city's happening neighbourhoods. If after accommodation in a smaller centre yet still close to the amenities of Edmonton, surrounding communities such as Leduc, St. Albert and Devon offer bed and breakfasts with beautifully decorated rooms and hearty meals.
